Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our composite slat wall and railing systems.
Products & Materials
What material are your slats made from?
Our slats are manufactured from a high-density wood-plastic composite (WPC) — a blend of recycled wood fibers and UV-stabilized polymers. This gives them the natural warmth of real timber with the durability and low maintenance of engineered materials.
What colors and finishes are available?
We offer a curated palette of architectural finishes including Natural Teak, Charcoal Black, Walnut, Cedar, and Stone Grey. All finishes feature a realistic woodgrain texture. Custom color matching is available for orders above 500 linear meters.
Are your products UV resistant?
Yes. Every slat is co-extruded with a UV-stabilized polymer shield that resists fading, chalking, and discoloration. Our products are independently tested and rated for over 5,000 hours of accelerated UV exposure with minimal color shift.
What is the fire rating of your systems?
Our composite slat systems achieve a Class B fire rating (ASTM E84) and comply with most commercial building codes. Fire-retardant formulations achieving Class A are available for projects with stricter fire safety requirements. Contact us for project-specific compliance documentation.
Ordering & Pricing
What is the minimum order quantity?
Our standard minimum order is 50 linear meters per color/profile. For sample orders and small trial projects, we offer a starter kit with up to 10 linear meters. Volume pricing tiers begin at 200 linear meters.
What are your typical lead times?
Standard colors ship within 2–3 weeks from order confirmation. Custom color and large-volume orders typically require 4–6 weeks. We maintain stock of our most popular profiles for faster turnaround on repeat orders.
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. We provide tiered trade pricing for architects, builders, contractors, and resellers. Pricing is based on annual volume commitments and project pipeline. Submit an inquiry to receive a personalized rate card.
How do I become an authorized distributor?
We partner with established building material distributors in select territories. To apply, submit an inquiry with your company details, coverage area, and current product lines. Our commercial team will assess fit and walk you through the onboarding process.
Installation
Can these systems be installed DIY, or is professional installation required?
Our slat wall systems are designed for straightforward installation by experienced tradespeople. While a skilled DIYer could handle a small residential project, we recommend professional installation for commercial and multi-story applications to ensure structural compliance and warranty coverage.
What tools are needed for installation?
Standard installation requires a miter saw with a fine-tooth carbide blade, a drill/driver, a level, and our proprietary clip system (included with every order). No specialized tools or adhesives are needed. Detailed installation guides and videos are provided with every shipment.
Can slat walls be installed on sloped or uneven surfaces?
Yes. Our adjustable bracket system accommodates slopes up to 35 degrees and can be shimmed to correct uneven substrates. For raked or stepped installations on hillsides, we offer angled end-cap kits and can provide layout guidance for your specific site conditions.
Warranty & Support
What does your warranty cover?
All Teak & Black structural systems include a 25-year commercial warranty covering fading beyond acceptable limits, rotting, splintering, cracking, and structural failure under normal use and proper installation. Cosmetic damage, improper installation, and acts of nature are excluded.
How do I file a warranty claim?
Submit a claim through our inquiry form or email your account manager directly. Include your order number, installation date, photos of the issue, and a brief description. Our team reviews most claims within 5 business days and will arrange replacement material or credit as appropriate.
Is the warranty transferable?
Yes. Our warranty transfers to subsequent property owners for the remainder of the original warranty period. The new owner simply needs to notify us in writing with proof of property transfer and the original order details.
